Sagar Apollo
– a health vision in India and abroad
Evolving into Asia’s
largest chain of corporate hospitals in less than two
decades is a means that Dr. Prathap C. Reddy found to
realize his vision of “positioning India as a
premier healthcare destination of the world”.
It all began with the founding of the Apollo Group of
Hospitals by Dr. Reddy in 1983. Today Apollo Hospitals
in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and UAE signifies
world-class facilities, international standards of care
and service and a meeting point for highly qualified
and skilled medical experts. Apollo Hospitals across
the countries have been focused on putting medical care
of global standards within the reach of every individual.
Providing comprehensive
medical facilities and services continues to the concern
of Apollo hospitals. However, nephrology and cardiology
have received special focus. A success rate of 98.5%
in over 50,000 cardiac surgeries and an equally impressive
success rate of 98% in over 3000 renal transplants speak
volumes of the high standards set by the group. The
state-of-the-art facilities matched by the success rte
puts Apollo Hospitals on even keel with the best medical
institutions in the world. A measure of the management
skills of the group is the fact that over 1 million
patients have been treated in the group hospitals. Another
milestone that the group has set for itself is to increase
the total bed strength to 20,000 by 2003.

Sagar Apollo
Hospital in India
Healthcare has been
the natural need of humanity since ages. In the recent
past healthcare has emerged as a highly advanced science.
The coming together of modern advances in technology
and the improved medical skills have enabled a paradigm
shift in the medical services sector. The entreprenerual
zeal of medical professionals combined with the concern
for humanity and an ever increasing concern for health
has given the right direction for the paradigm shift.
The private sector
which has spearheaded the shift has necessarily focused
on the secondary and tertiary healthcare and medical
services. Owing to this commitment, healthcare facilities
in India have come to meet international standards.
The Sagar Apollo
Hospital is an example of the synergy that occurs when
the philanthropic outlook, commitment to humanity, entrepreneurial
zeal and vision come together.
Bangalore
– a city with vision and a place for healthcare
Sagar Apollo Hospital
at Bangalore places the city on the world map of destinations
for healthcare of global standards. With the coming
together of knowledge, skill, management, facilities
and services that are world-class, Sagar Apollo Hospital
is all set to usher in a revolution in healthcare and
medical services in the city with facilities like telemedicine
and absolute comfort for patients. The hospital, in
addition to offering a diaspora of medical science,
will also focus on related issues like health insurance.
