Sagar Apollo Hospital, the city-based multi-disciplinary, super-specialty hospital and TTK Healthcare Services, one of the leading licensed Third Party Administrator (TPA), has adopted the technology-driven insurance billing service to ensure hassle free cashless transactions. The announcement marks the successful 'going live' on a fast-track electronic claims process between Sagar Apollo Hospital and TTK Healthcare Services through a successful dry run exercise of processing 50 bills. With this, Sagar Apollo Hospital becomes the first hospital in India to provide a cashless transaction in insurance claims processing.
Implemented with the primary goal of providing a foolproof solution to insurance claims processing, the electronic claims processing system will enable online exchange of information on insurance claim between Sagar Apollo Hospital and TTK. Relevant details on the patient viz, admission date, treatment undergone, discharge summary, reports etc. will be posted online, to be accessed by the TPA for verification, authorization of payments and reverts on non-permissible bills, if any. Thus, it will facilitate tracking the payer's specific requirements, significantly reduce rejection percentage and accelerate the payment turnaround time.
